Response/Support from developers missing

I and some other users have been posting here for nearly 2 weeks about problems with the second language and/or language switcher when using Polylang 3.x. But there have been no response from the developers which makes me wonder if they even monitor the forum at all!
There is a responsibility for the developers even if the service is free – otherwise why even bother to offer it? We have been using mostly free products for our website and have adequate support from the developers. Some support has been unexpectedly high (e.g. Duplicator). But all of them have responded promptly and have updated their plugin etc to rectify the problems. We too offer our considerable digital resources on the website for free to all.
Would highly appreciate clarification from the Polylang people just what can a user of the free version expect. It is a good product and we have been using it without any problem for over 3 years. We hope that the problem will be sorted out soon without forcing us to look for alternatives (not ot mention the additional work).
Please let us know if these posting have come to your notice and if the problem is identifiable with a possible solution in the works. I am sure that the users will provide additional details happily if it can help.
