    We accept donations through our site for various school groups/teams. We use the Custom Products Add(on) (Free) plugin to allow donors to designate to which team they want their money to go. The responses used to show up on our paypal invoices. E.g. “Donate to a Team, team: girls soccer.” but now it only says “Donate to a Team,” both on the PayPal receipt and in our paypal-generated reports (of sales). The custom product info is being stored in the WooCommerce database.

    I have been trying to identify what might have caused this. The only items that I can recall as changed are (a) we switched from WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Gateway to WooCommerce PayPal Payments. When we noticed the loss of the detail in the PayPal reports, we switched back to WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Gateway. The product add(ons) information is still missing, however, and (b) just the normal updates for other plugins, Woocommerce, and WordPress.

    Is there an easy way to return to sending the Custom Product Add-ons info? Thank you.

    Sorry for the delay in response.

    We can see that Paypal button is enabled on product detail page. That is causing this issue. Disable Paypal button from the product detail page that will fix te issue.

    Thank you so much for your help. I disabled the PayPal button on the product detail page. Unfortunately, I am still experiencing the same issue. Please look at https://sphsboosters.org/product/support-a-team-or-group/. The PayPal button is missing. However, when I make a contribution and type in the team name, that team name information no longer (it used to) shows up in the PayPal receipt/reports.

    Yes, it is weird that you can see the details in the checkout page but they don’t pass through to WooCommerce.

    Here is a receipt before the problem. You can see that it has the detail on the PayPal receipt.
    Here is a receipt after the problem occurred. This is from a transaction made after July 10 when the issue first started. You can see that the detail is now missing.

    Is there information in your WordPress backend? In the woocommerce order page? If you can see the details in there, Please contact the Paypal team that will be an error from their side.
