    Dear Tobias,

I am using the Accordion Shortcode and Widget plugin to display your tables.

I’d like to use the responsive approach collapse to display your tables within the accordion. However, collapse seems not to be working when a table is placed within an accordion. Collapse does work when the table is directly placed on a page, and not within an accordion. Moreover, the other two approaches fold and scroll do work within the accordions. You can check rentindicator.com/try where I use one table to show the error.

I’ve contacted the developers of the accordion plugin as well. Perhaps you know what to do, or you know of an other accordion plugin for which collapse does work?

    With kind regards,

    Luca

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble. Also, please excuse the long wait for a reply. I just returned from holidays last night and was not able to reply earlier. Thanks for your understanding.

Yes, I can confirm that this is not working. The reason basically is that the JS code for the collapse mode has to make certain calculations about the widths of columns, etc. However, that is only possible for tables that are directly visible on the screen. If a table is hidden in a collabsable accordion, it is not visible and therefore the column widths can not be calculated ??
Unfortunately, I don’t know a solution for this at the moment.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

    No problem!
    Thank you for your answer.

    The accordion developer replied,

It’s work fine , i have not found any issue there

By any chance, do you know of another accordion plug-in which does work properly with TablePress? I’ve tried several plug-ins, but to no avail.

    With kind regards,

    Luca

    Hi Luca,

I can only assume that the accordion plugin author did not know what to look for, as he might now know what the collapse mode is supposed to look like.

However, even then, he would probably now have a solution – for the same reason that I can not suggest another accordion plugin. They all have the same functionality, and that is inherent to accordions: They hide content until it is needed. This is the cause for the problem that the JS library can not calculate widths. So, using it in any accordion will not work, most likely. Sorry for not having better news here.

    Regards,
    Tobias
