    Hi

Is there a way to make images responsive, or at least display a smaller version on a mobile device please? I may just be looking in the wrong place but I can’t find a way to do this.

    Thanks

    Ian

    Hi again

This is driving me mad and I would really appreciate some help.

If you look at this page you will see that there are 2 photos, one right aligned and the other left aligned. On a desktop or tablet the page looks fine but on a mobile phone the image takes up too much space, leaving a very narrow column of text.

I want the image to display smaller on a mobile device but cannot find any way to do it. I have tried several plugins which sounded as if they should but none worked.

Can somebody please point me in the right direction. I really don’t want to have to put the images between paragraphs but at the moment that seems like the only option.

    All help appreciated.

    Hi Ian,

Images will be responsive by default. Way back in WordPress 4.4 (2015), WordPress added functionality to help with responsive images, and in particular, made use of the srcset and sizes attributes which allows a browser to select the most appropriate images based on viewport size. See the following post for more info.
