I’m fairly satisfied with your plugin, but I have a few questions/hopes:

    – Is there any way to set a number of columns for a gallery, but to allow the thumbnail size to be dictated responsively based on window/screen width?

The problem is that if I set a fixed thumbnail size, depending on the screen, they can be too big, too small, but most importantly- leave empty horizontal space, etc….

    – Any way to make it so individual albums in a gallery open on the same page as the gallery?

    Thanks!

I know what you mean. Already did that for the youtube plugin.
But, facebook thumbs are not uniform in size and ratio (unlike youtube video thumbs). So it seemed a bit harder to do the same (specially when the image is dynamically linked from facebook’s server).
I’ll investigate this further in the future and hopefully find a workaround.

    Thanks for your feedback!

    Thanks for the speedy reply!

Facebook thumbnails are uniform in size/ratio. Furthermore, your plugin allows me to dictate the size of the thumbnails, so that’s irrelevant because the plugin overrides Facebook’s defaults.

All I really want is to be able to tell it that I want four columns, and then have it dynamically set the thumbnail size according to available width.

    -or-

You could set minimum/maximum thumbnail sizes and let the plugin choose the number of columns and thumbnail size based on available width.

Separate issue I brought up in my previous post: “Any way to make it so individual albums in a gallery open on the same page as the gallery?”

    Thanks

    Hi,
Actually the plugin takes the size of the box around the image. The actual image might get cropped depending on the size you choose.
I’ll try to make a column based solution like I did with the youtube extension.

No such plan at this moment.

A column based solution would make way more sense. Please let me know when/if such an option exists.

In the meantime, is there at least a way to force the entire album or gallery to be centered in the available space on the page?

    Thanks

Hey, this isn’t quite resolved, as you didn’t address my secondary question: “Is there at least a way to force the entire album or gallery to be centered in the available space on the page?”

    Thanks

No. It’s left floated. You’ll have to find the optimum thumb size for your theme so that there’s no empty space on the right side on default view (large screen).
