• I find Master Slider to be very professional and the best I have tried so far.
    Two unusual issues for which I need assistance:
    1. The font that shows on the Master Slider page does NOT match the font that is published in any of the 3 responsive modes. I’m wondering if I have somehow deleted some fonts in my wordpress theme. In the desktop mode the font shows quite small and in the cellphone mode the font almost fills the screen. So I’m doing something wrong in the text layer settings.

    2. The image is beautifully responsive in all platforms….it’s the text layer that is NOT responsive nor the correct font. When the cell phone is turned horizontal, the text layer is so close to the top of the screen that only half of the text is visible.

    Although I don’t really want the text layer to be in the center of the slide, I did try adding:.ms-slide-info{
    text-align:center;
    }
    to the Slider custom styles page and it had zero effect.

    I’m sure I have some settings incorrect and I can tell that I don’t fully understand how to make the text layer act properly on all platforms.

    Can anyone assist?

  • Tucker, you’re not alone on this one. I spent an afternoon pulling my hair out trying to figure out what I did wrong with updates. I have had issues before with the slider caching old versions, so I cleared all caches: local, server, Cloudflare, and WordPress Fast Cache. I set the ones I could to bypass mode and disabled the rest. I also tried from three different browsers and with all plugins disabled (except for the URL rewrite and code snippet ones). The problem was still there. Fonts would preview correctly when designing them but would show up completely wrong on the front-end. I reached out to support last week to report the bug.

    If you want to work around it, roll back to version 3.3.0. That solved my issue. It’s not ideal, but it’s better than messy text on a professional website. It’s clearly something that was changed when Master Slider 3.5.5 was released.

    Thank you for taking the time to give a work around. I purchased this plugin at 3.5.5, so not sure how to download an older version. I’ll try going to their download site, but not sure I will have access to older versions.

    I’m assuming that the older version didn’t break anything you had done, only allowed the proper font to be shown. The sizing of the font that IS shown is not exactly correct either. Wish it wouldn’t take so long for them to issue a fix for something as big as implementing the incorrect font. I may end up looking at another slider as I don’t have a ton of time invested in the project.

    Thank you again.
