I’m getting the below fatal error when attempting to install the Add-ons provided with Responsive theme (v 1.9.7.7).
Any advice on how to fix please?

Fatal error: Class ‘TGM_Bulk_Installer’ not found in /homepages/12/d597604683/htdocs/clickandbuilds/DarrylMunroandAssociates/wp-content/themes/responsive/core/includes/classes/class-tgm-plugin-activation.php on line 1558

  • If you hover over a single add-on, you can click ‘install’ there. I think it doesn’t use the bulk installer then.

The Responsive theme uses a *very* old version of an external library (TGMPA). Upgrading to the current version will fix this.

You can do this yourself for your own installation by downloading the current version from https://tgmpluginactivation.com/download/ , unzipping the file and copying/uploading just the class-tgm-plugin-activation.php file to the wp-content/themes/responsive/core/includes/classes/ directory of your website.

All the same, I’d highly recommend that @cyberchimps release a new version of the theme which includes this upgrade.

It doesn′t work for me. Just change the error message to “Something went wrong with the plugin API.”

    same thing here…

after this trick, just a message “are you really want to do that” “retry” then “something went wrong with the api”

    ??

with the official package, i meant the class tgmpa page, it’s :

    object(WP_Error)#6414 (2) { [“errors”]=> array(1) { [“plugins_api_failed”]=> array(1) { [0]=> string(275) “Une erreur inattendue s’est produite. Quelque chose semble ne pas fonctionner avec www.ads-software.com ou la configuration de ce serveur. Si vous continuez à rencontrer des problèmes, veuillez essayer les forums de support.” } } [“error_data”]=> array(1) { [“plugins_api_failed”]=> string(2) “N;” } }

As a work-around you could try installing the mentioned plugins one-by-one: hover over the plugin and click install (I think it bypasses the bulk-installer).
You could also install those plugins yourself as you would any other plugin.

Thanks for your reply and first of all, happy new year ??

In fact, the first time i check the theme an had the notifiction to install for improving experience, i installed slidedeck then insite without problem, an then it appears with the installation of Responsive Ad-on, the first one.
The problem is i can’t download it separatly on wordpress because it shows me the same error in repos.
So i tried to deactivate the others an retry install, same thing.
I would like to download it separatly an upload it by ftp, but no link.

Hi all, that message comes from trying to install a plugin from the WP repository which is not/no longer hosted there. Though sometimes you might also receive it if the wp.org api is down.

I’ve had a quick look at the code and by the looks of it the “Responsive Add Ons” plugin which is recommended by the theme is no longer hosted on wp.org.

So again, I guess the Responsive theme can really do with an update. /cc @cyberchimps
