Responsive Theme Header Will Not Load

I am using the Resonsive Theme. When I click Appearance, Header and select my image, it uploads and asks me to crop. Once I click Publish, the page goes blank. The header will not load. If I go back to Header, it acts like I never uploaded anything, yet it keeps creating copies of my images in the media library. Would anyone know what piece of code I could manually edit to get this working?
