Responsive theme not "responding" when domain forwarded

What’s the Theme name and can you share your URL please? Forwarding, DNS or anything with that nature should not have any affects on Themes “Responsiveness”

I haven’t seen any issues with any of the domains.

You could test this on:
https://themeid.com/responsive/?https://changeofscene.net/nautico-la/
https://themeid.com/responsive/?www.nautico-la.com

They respond the same on Chrome, FF, Safari and Opera. Didn’t check the IE.

The issue occurs with the nautico-la.com domain, when viewed on a smartphone. Both links “work,” however the forwarded domain doesn’t load the responsiveness of the site. Somehow in the loading of the page, something with the site is misunderstanding the browser’s dimensions and loading wrong CSS.

When viewing https://www.changeofscene.net/nautico-la directly, it scales/responds perfectly.

That’s weird, this usually would not happen, design is design, regardless of the URL ??

The domain specific version loads in an iframe. The iframe is the issue.

Yes! You’re exactly right! I’ve been searching all over the web and that has to be it! Can you please help with suggestions on how to go about solving this? Is this an issue inherent with iframe and un-fixable, short of re-designing the entire theme? Thanks again for your help, any little bit helps, even a link to the right direction/forum will do wonders.

I’ve just found exactly the same problem. After months of designing my wife’s new website with ultra cool bootstrap css, it works everywhere but in a smartphone – because the forwarded url is within an iframe.

Ok, I’ve done some research. It’s the difference between url forwarding and frame forwarding. Have a look here and it really answers the question.
For me it’s all about SEO as the site’s been there for years and gets to the top. It’s always been in a frame so the url stays the same at the top. With a re-direct you lose the company name. So it’s solveable, but at a hell of a cost!

Nope. All is well. I spoke to the estimable Derrell at Domaindiscover in San Diego, and he fixed it all on the phone. Iframe redirects are so last century apparently, and he’s basically merged the two sites so they share the same identity. FTP remains the same. I await the results….. waych this space.

That’s it, it works.
Go to your control panel or call them and change it to IPS Forwarding.
It points the domain at IP address.
Phew.
