Hi I’d like to utilize this theme for it’s ease and responsiveness, and my question is regarding it’s compatibility with any sliders or portfolio options. I am in the creative industry and need to be able to show off image portfolios beyond just single posts. Thanks for your help. ac

  • You can write some custom styling for the slider if you need to. I don’t really use featured sliders too much in my themes but the ones I have were simple and it was very easy to completely re-write the css for them so that they fit and looked good in my themes. I don’t see why you couldnt.

Ugh, I forgot to ask What theme are you using and were you talking about using a plugin that is a “featured Slider” as a widget or something or does the theme your using have one built into it? If its built into a responsive theme then it should all ready be responsive, if its going to be a plugin or widget then you should be able to go to the plugin directory and find the css file for it and write it with “%’s” and “em’s” instead of hard px heights and widths. Makes sense?

I’m working on a site in which I used the WowSlider with Emil’s Responsive theme and it works perfect at any size. The slider also installs with a shortcode so it’s a no brainer to put it where you want.

Thanks to you both (jamesg40 and bdr529) I am thinking of using the theme ‘Responsive’ which looks really versatile. I have a creative agency so a slider would be great, I’ll check out the WowSlider.. I pretty much want to make this theme as black and white as possible with a nice clean slider-folio.

Can the grey header bar be removed and the fonts be changed all in the Editor from dashboard?

Thanks, the responses here are so quick!

Thanks for helping each other guys.

This is what we have so far and it’s pretty easy to use. I also got the full width front page for you in case that someone needs full slider.

Cool, Thanks for the info Emil, I will bookmark this page and the link you posted. Very Helpful.

    Thanks!
