    Your custom css is the reason.
    .content{float:left;width:900px}
    Please remove it.

    Brilliant, Han. Thank you for this and your theme.

    I set that CSS adjustment up to turn off the sidebar. I have now changed the 900px to 100%, and the site is now responsive.

    I would suggest that you place an option on the customization/theme options menu to turn off the sidebar.
