It seems REST-API methods are getting blocked while I try to save the plugin FluentCRM email template in WordPress admin, kindly check the screenshot @ https://prnt.sc/YIF1CyoCg3pa. This perhaps is due to the firewall that blocks the REST-API method, could you please check if WordFence is blocking it and suggest a solution, please?

    Many thanks,
    Sumit

    Hi @sumitmalhotra,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Please accept our apologies for the delayed response.

I suggest that you try switching the firewall to Learning Mode to eliminate the false positives. Sometimes, WordPress plugins or themes may exhibit behavior that resembles known attack patterns which results in the Wordfence Firewall blocking something that is not malicious.

From the Wordfence Dashboard click on Manage WAF. Then you will see Basic Firewall Options > Web Application Firewall Status. Change the option to Learning Mode. Once done, configure the plugin and test. This will help Wordfence learn that these actions are normal and it will allow them in the future. After you have finished configuring and testing the plugins, switch the WAF from Learning Mode back to Enabled and Protecting and test to confirm that the methods are not getting blocked.

Please let me know in case this doesn’t solve your issue.

    Thanks,

    Janet

    Hi Janet!

Thank you for your message and suggestion. I did what you suggested and applied Learning Mode, however, it didn’t work still. What else can I try, please?

    Thanks,
    Sumit

    Hi @sumitmalhotra,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Navigate to your Wordfence > Tools > Live Traffic page and find the block for these API requests. The best way to do this would be to attempt the action that is being blocked, then head over to the Live Traffic page. If Wordfence is blocking these requests, you should be able to see them here with an explanation of why the connections are being blocked, click on it to expand it, then click “Add Param to Allowlist”.

If the issue persists, please send a diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com. You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

NOTE: It should look as follows – Screenshot of Tools > Diagnostic > Send by Email

Please let me know what you find.

    Thanks,

    Janet
