    Hi!

    In health check i get:

The REST API request failed due to an error.
Error: [] cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

    and

The loopback request to your site failed, this means features relying on them are not currently working as expected.
Error encountered: (0) cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

Turned off all plugins, restared one by one, only happens when Woocommerce is activated

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hi there,

This sounds like it’s hosting-related more than an issue with WooCommerce itself; Just to make sure – have you checked with your hosting provider on whether loopback connections are allowed?

I have full cPanel access can I check this myself?

Do you use Jetpack plugin ? This happened to me when I started using Jetpack and once I uninstalled everything was fine.

I have it installed but not activated.

You may want to uninstall, that’s the culprit. I basically had a subscription with Jetpack and had lots of trouble since then, . I gave up on it and raised a support request.

    Nope still getting error…

I have the same issue. Although i have woocommerce installed, this doesn’t seem to be the problem. I am using Setsail Theme. With this theme i need a plugin called “Tours” which i obviously need while using the theme. Untill a couple of days ago all was fine, but now receiving the same error as mentioned above. When i DE-Activate the TOUR plugin, error is gone. As soon as i activate the plugin again, the error is there again. I read somewhere that it could have something to do with an update within WordPress ? No clue so far…

    ANY HELP????

I didn’t come forward also…seems like we have to wait forever for an answer.
In the meantime I decided to change Theme, since bullshitting around, wasting time isn’t gonna bring it..

    Hi there,

Some ISP’s simply don’t allow loopbacks.

Most of the time these errors are caused by the server’s PHP settings. Here is a very good write up: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/the-loopback-request-to-your-site-failed-4/page/2/

But apart from the errors, do you have any problems executing stuff i.e. for example making REST API calls from your client?
Because the error messages are mostly for internal use. This article helps with gauging whether you should care or not: https://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/wordpress-site-health-curl-error-28.html

    Hi again,

    Neither of these solutions worked!

    Thanks for trying.

Other than the Health Check message error message.
What is it that is not working?

    Kind regards,
