Rest API is Disabled or Broken

    I am using Media Cleaner to delete the unused images on my site. When I open up the cleaner it says “Rest API is Disabled or Broken”

    CODE: BROKEN-REPLY
    MESSAGE: The reply sent by the server is broken.

    I have checked and the Rest API is not disabled. How should I fix this issue to make it run?

  • @mrfm Thank you! Same here. I found that I could disable Media Cleaner in the Post type settings of Plugin Organizer for both posts and pages and logged in and not logged in and it still worked. But disabling it in the “Global Plugins” seeing of Plugin Organizer causes the problem as you noted. So you can have it disabled on the front end posts and pages in the Post Type settings of Plug in organizer. I guess disabling it the “Global Plugins” is too big a hammer. It would be great if the REST error message in Media Cleaner mentioned this because disabling plugins from the front-end using Plugin Organizer is so useful for plugins.
