REST API plugin and HPOS are both active alert, but Legacy app is not

I am using HPOS tables. I have turned the Legacy Api off. In spite of that I continue to see this alert.
I switched from the theme I am using to Twenty Twenty-Four, and the alert went away. So I contacted the theme developers. They responded to say:
“I can still see the same error on the WordPress Default theme Twenty Twenty-one Classic theme and not Just <our> theme which confirms this issue is not related to <our> theme“
They also suggested turning table compatibility on, which I don’t want to do and which doesn’t solve the issue anyway. And then suggested I post here. This is a development site, there have been no orders.
Can you shed any light on this?
