Many thanks for sharing, appreciate the additional info. We’ll report back to you as soon as we have an update, I’ll check with the team.

In the meantime if you’d like to try and delete the plugin in full let us know if you’re able to install from the WordPress repository. From quick inspection it looks like the plugin remains deactivated. When installing and activating please do so from a browser incognito window.

I did leave the plugin deactivated because of the error messages that are displayed on my site when it is activated. If you’d like me to do an additional site info pull with the plugin activated, I can definitely do that.

Based on your last comment, I did delete the plugin from my site. I then opened a private window and installed the plugin from the WordPress repository and activated it. I do still get the same error messages/behavior now when it is enabled.

Good to know, I’ll report back to you here once I have an update after further checks with the team. Thanks for your assistance and for bringing this to our attention.

I too get the error message after installing Google Site kit and 5.5. If google sitekit is deactivated, the error message is going off.

The message reads like this:Notice: register_rest_route was called incorrectly. The REST API route definition for themeisle-sdk/v1/checksum is missing the required permission_callback argument. For REST API routes that are intended to be public, use __return_true as the permission callback. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 5.5.0.) in /home/jayemdas/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5225

4 more more simillar error messages could be seen.

    Hi @cyberloner,

This doesn’t seem to be a Site Kit specific issue. You can however open a support topic if you’d like us to take a look. Please include additional details in order for us to troubleshoot.
