When adding new fields and clicking save it displays the error “Failed to connect to WordPress REST API.” but upon refreshing the page the changes have been saved successfully.

I’ve double checked and there is nothing wrong with the rest api. Also, changing any settings and clicking save seems to work fine.

    Hi twisted89

Many thanks for contacting us. I suspect that problem may have a source in the server settings.

Could you check the server parameters? Parameters that are too low are likely the cause of the problem you are reporting. Check the following parameters in particular, WordPress memory limit. Ideally, it should be set to 2GB.

Could you also check the PHP max input vars? Ideally, it should be set to 50000.

I would appreciate it if you could provide the current settings for the two parameters mentioned.

If the problem persists, could you describe in more detail the environment in which it occurs? I.e. how many new fields have you added? Are additional options set in the fields, if so how many? Similarly, if you have set up conditional logic, it would also be great if you could send screenshots of mentioned settings.

I would be grateful for feedback.
