rest_not_logged_in error

    Hi there,

    After pupdating the theme to the latest update i am getting the following errors. I tried and switch over to another theme and the error is resolved but it appears after i switch over to either Astra theme or Astra child theme. Anybody know any solution about it or what can cause the specific issue?

    I also tried and disabled any security plugins just in case there was a conflict.

    Here are the errors i am getting:

    /wp-json/wp/v2/users/me?context=edit&_locale=user:1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 401 ()
    https://www.example.com./:1 Uncaught (in promise) Objectcode: “rest_not_logged_in”data: {status: 401}message: “You are not currently logged in.”Prototype: Object

  • Hi @stavrosomo,

    Please try to reinstall the Astra theme and see if it does the trick. If it doesn’t work, please try to downgrade the Astra theme to the older version, which you didn’t have any problem with.

    A plugin like WP Rollback will help you rollback to Astra older version with ease. Also, please create a proper back up of your site before doing the thing above. Just in case.

    Hi Herman,

    Thank you fot your reply. After spending quite a lot of time on this issue since it is the first time i have seen it, i ended up finding out that the issue had to do with another plugin that i had installed on the website. That specific plugin was causing the error in the console and as soon as i downgraded it, the issue was resolved.
