    Hi there,

I needed my host to re-install my wordpress. I did a full backup with Updraft.

However, I am getting an error when trying to Restore my ‘Uploads’. It says: “There has been a critical error on this website.”

The only thing I can think of is that I have noticed that after my host re-installed my wordpress, the i was assigned a NEW ‘Primary Domain’ address (‘…xxx.ccf.myftpupload.com’) which is different to the old one.

Perhaps the Updraft Backup contains different address information?

If so – I have no idea how to fix this in my Backup. Can anyone please help ?

(the Text and pages all seemed to restore Ok, just not the Uploads, or the plugins)

    Hi there,

It looks like the restore is breaking off suddenly, which could indicate memory issues.
A more definitive indication of the problem can likely be found in your php error log.

If you could check the php error log for problems and give me the details it will help.
Once we’ve confirmed the cause of the issue I can provide you appropriate solutions.

    Best regards,

    Nick

    Cheers Nick.

I ended up manually Restoring by copying the files from the backup to Filezilla.

Hopefully the issue won’t re-appear if doing a restore in the future.
