    Hi there,

I had a blog running a few years back, now I want exactly the same thing running again under a subdomain.

In the subdomain I installed wordpress automatically through my server’s services.

Now I have a database created and I have all the wordpress files of my back-up (wp-admin, wp-includes, wp-content, .htaccess etc.) in a .zip. How do I proceed?

    a) Do I copy the new database username etc. to the htaccess file and move all my files to the server and that’s it?

    b) Do I manually create a new database with the info that I have stored in the htaccess and copy-paste the files? :S

    Thank you very much!

PS: How do I know the wordpress version that I had installed in my old blog? I guess it is wise to keep that version so that plugins do not crash. Or it doesn’t matter?
