    mac os 10.5.8

I’m running a blog on our ISP, and have MAMP running a copy locally – but the local copy is empty of the content on the (semi-)public site (company info-blog).

I tried importing the backup sql file into the local copy via phpmyadmin – but no dice. Nothing was obviously broken wrong – just don’t see the data.

Any tips on how to make this work will be appreciated – I’m not looking to create a perfect mirror – but I would like to populate the development server with some actual posts for testing, and don’t want to (of course not!) manually re-create the posts.

    With appreciation,

well let me prime the pump, so to speak!

I stumbled across this in the docs, referring to importing from WordPress to WordPress, and will give it a try. If not luck, I’ll post and update.
