  • @gauss79 Hi, what I understand from the error message that your backup is OK but it seems you took the backup from a “http” site but want to restore it to a “https” site, which is not possible with this free version. You need to do it using the Pro version.

    Hope it make sense.

    Thanks

Thats what the message says, but it doesn′t make sense to me. I did the backup and pressed on the restore button. Unfortunately the original content is deleted, so there isn′t any possibility to get the backup restored unless I buy the pro version of it? Thats really annoying ′cause it is a nonprofit youth organization with no money. I′m doing the website for free as well. So do I really have to get a pro licence to restore this site and afterwards get rid of it?

    Hi @gauss79

When you created the backup, your website wasn’t running on HTTPS, but now it is. A workaround would be to revert your site back to HTTP, then restore the backup and revert it back to HTTPS. The free version backup/restore feature works only if the backup you are trying to restore is from the same site, and that includes the HTTP/HTTPS schema.

    Thanks,
    Alaa
