    Hi,

My BackupGuard restore failed (hung with 0% database restored).
Added define(‘WP_ALLOW_REPAIR’, true); to wp-config.php file but kept getting same message that database needed repairing.
Database not live yet so running on localhost.

Have read other posts on this issue but all refer back to support tickets rather than posting an actual solution.

    Please help.

    Dear @bagotville,

The resolution of this varies depending on server/hosting configurations. Sometimes the reason could be related to the low level memory or to execution timeout configurations. So, you can check this configuration at first.

If you’re comfortable to open a support ticket and send your backup/restore log files, we could investigation the situation for you.

    Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me.
I didn’t realise there were backup/restore logs until you mentioned them in your reply.
I checked the restore logs and found the problem was due to the MySql max_packet_size.
I increased this size and the restore worked!!!

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

    That’s great!

    Hello,

I have the same problem… After trying to make a “migrate-backup” i have database error. I tried to repair via “define(‘WP_ALLOW_REPAIR’, true);”. There is a connection to the database, and it is repaired – but still nothing work. I try to contact the provider – they say the database table “wp_options” is damaged…

@ajaajo666, could you please open P2P support ticket (https://backup-guard.com/products/backup-wordpress/support-p2p) for this and send the restore log file to let us analyze the situation for you?
