• Hi all,

I’m in trouble. Having changed theme to “abythens” – looks nice – I could not acces my site admin anymore (“internal server error 500” from my ISP). The site is online but not the admin. So I went to restore my DB, prevously saved via WP-DB-Backup. Problem is, the .gz file is corrupt – I can’t open it via Windows, Winzip, Extract-now.
I’m thinking of changing manually the “template” and “style sheet” values in the wp-options tables. What do you think ? is it dangerous ? Are there fields in the options table that were modified by the theme, and I should erase them ?

Thanks in advance, I’m struggling a bit

    Pascal

  • You shouldn’t need to restore your database for that.

Changing those values in the wp_options table could fix the problem, but you could just delete the theme folder and WordPress will revert to using the WordPress Default theme.

If using Vista, look at using 7-zip if you are having problems with a zip file.
