    Hi @erik-haagenstuff

    Thanks for your question!

I had the issue with the level 3 error in Stripe, but as noted in this thread….
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/level3-data/
….. Woo stopped sending the expanded Level 3 data.

I’m getting Level 3 data allowed for my Stripe account. How can I restore WooCommerce to send Level 3 again, as it has quit due to the initial failure.

    That’s really odd.

When you said Woo stopped sending the expanded Level 3 data, when the last time it was working, was it before you update the plugin for example or it stopped working all of sudden?

Could you please send the full detail of the log?

You might want to try resetting the API keys and see if that would help.

    I hope that helps!

    Look forward to your reply.

Hi Scott, thank you for your quick response. Based on the info in that link I shared, it would be expected for Woo to try to send Level 3, and if it failed, to drop back to sending less info. When I look in my Stripe logs, that is exactly what happened.

In terms of when it stopped working, I installed all these components (Woo, Woo Stripe Gateway) and connected to Stripe then started testing all within several hours. So there was no time delay or updates or anything that interfered or changed anything.

This error occured on the first attempt to communicate with Stripe. Then immediately thereafter Woo sent the same transaction over without the Level 3 parameter and it processed just fine. Subsequent transactions have also processed just fine without the Level 3 parameter.

I have initiated getting the Stripe account configured to accept Level 3. Once that is done I was wondering how to “reset” Woo to try again with Level 3.

If I have completely misunderstood how all this works based on my links above, please re-educate me! Thanks for your help.

Yes. WooCommerce stripe gateway attempts to send level 3 by default. This is my understanding from the Github issue you linked above, specifically this comment. Only if it fails does it stop sending at level 3 to continue with the transaction.

I have initiated getting the Stripe account configured to accept Level 3. Once that is done I was wondering how to “reset” Woo to try again with Level 3.

If I understand this correctly, a simple reset of the API keys and a fresh setup of keys should reset it and continue to process everything at level 3.
