• Hi,

I need some help to restore my site that was overwritten when I installed WP suppose to be to another domain. I can still see the site file in file manager but just don’t have the knowledge how to restore them.

Any help is so much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Vic

  • Have you replaced your old database with the new one? Please clarify what sort of things have you replaced. If you have replaced you database then there’s no solution for it. All you have to check if you have backup of old database. But if only some files are replaced then it can restored. Thanks!

    Hi,

    Thanks for your response.
I haven’t done anything yet. I’m afraid there is no backup of the old database. I used quick install of WP which I assume will automatically replace the old database to the new one (not sure). It’s the first time I encountered this problem so I don’t know where to start.

    Thanks!

According to the scenario, the quick WP install has replaced the data on the old database. However, you can still contact your hosting & see if there is any possibility to recover your files & database.
    Thanks!
