Restore reviews from product in trash

    Hi everyone,

    I accidentally put a product into Trash. I restored it, got it working again, but the reviews left on the product are gone.

    I looked through the “comments” tab on my dashboard, hoping that they’d be there, but they are not.

    I COULD restore a backup ( I host with Siteground, which has auto-backups), but restoring a backup that includes Databases would also delete all my most recent orders.

    Is there any way for me to restore those old reviews? I’ve seen on the forums there’s apparently some way to look through the database and manually find data, but I’m not entirely sure how to do that- any guidance here?

    Hi @uzair835,

    I’ve performed some cross-testing on one of my test sites which have the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce and our free Storefront theme as the only enabled software. When doing so I’ve not been able to replicate the behavior which you describe. All reviews are displayed when the product is restored from the trash.

    You could try disabling all plugins aside from WooCommerce and changing to a default theme and checking if reviews are back.

    The following step would be regenerating product lookup tables from WooCommerce > Status > Tools > Product lookup tables > Regenerate.

    If you still require assistance with this, kindly share a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.
