Is it possible to restore a table to a backup version of the table rather than a complete backup of my site?

    Hi,

I’m not exactly sure what you mean here.
What form does your backup of the table have?

Tobias, honestly I’m not sure what form it would be. I need to take a look at my backup for that information. Obviously, if it’s a CSV file then I know I could back up to it.

    Hi,

ok, then I will rephrase my question ??
How did you create/obtain the backup? Did you use a plugin for it? Did you use tools that your webhost offers?

(I’m asking, because this information basically dictates whether the restore of a single table is possible, and it will help in finding the best way to do it.)

    Tobias

    Hello,

Have you tried using a mysqldump of the database as well to preserve your database data?

Thanks so much for responding – I truly appreciate it!

I had my developer take a look and it seems that the data is only kept for 2 days (it’s all done automatic with some highly technical word that I’m not familiar with). I need the backup from Saturday so it’s no dice. I’ll be downloading a copy each week.

My issue may be an enhancement for the plugin though. When you import/replace a list, it automatically sets to replace the current or top list name. Maybe have that default blank so the user has to physically select it without accidentally NOT selecting the correct one in haste.

    Hi,

oh, that’s too bad with the no longer existing backup ??
Creating your one backups/exports is then definitely a good idea for the future!

    Regarding your suggestion:
That’s a good point, indeed… I’ll try to find a nice way to implement this for an upcoming version. Thanks!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
