Restore users and categories

  • Can someone share with me how to restore my users of WP and how to restore the categories.
    I moved my WP install to a new server; long story short, i ended up deleting the DB and reinstalling. I do have a backup of the DB and i have tried to restore the wp_categories to no avail and i have also tried to restore the wp_users. I am using WP 2.1.3. Thanks for any help
