The problem I’m having with my site is that the Chinese characters are no longer showing properly. I installed the multisite WP on my site, and that’s when the characters changed. Do you think that running Utf8ize might fix the problem? Thanks for your help.

I don’t know for sure but do not forget to do a backup before you run the SQL commands.

This plugin can help you compose those SQL commands you need to convert your tables to use utf8 characters, if this brings your chinese chars back than go for it.

OK – I’ll definitely back up first! Thanks.

Hi! Can you please tell me if this worked ? Is your issue fixed?

My issue is fixed but unfortunately I can’t remember the order of things now… but I know I changed everything to use utf8 characters. I also exported the database and then imported it, and then the characters worked after that. I knew I should have written it down at the time! But it’s definitely sorted – thanks.
