I’ve tried everything I can think of, but it just keeps freezing on restoring database, please advise!

    Hi broraxel,

Could you try the following steps?

    1. While on restoring database, leave it running for 15 minutes.
    2. After 15 minutes, open another tab and try to login to wp-admin with username/password of the exported site
    3. Go to settings -> permalinks and save the permalink structure
    4. Go to All in one WP Migration – Export page and click on Turn Off Maintenance
At this point the website should be successfully migrated.

    Hi Pim,

    Same problem here,

did wait and tried to login but thats impossible too… just give a blank screen

I am restoring from a different domain to a sub-domain, perhaps thats special?

    any clue?

    Same problem here as well.

Have used it several times successful but not recently.

    Hi Pim!

    Thank you for your reply!

I’m currently restoring the db, but what I’ve noticed so far is that the website itself seems to migrate properly, but the user table and maybe a few other tables of the database is not getting imported. The site is up and seems to be working, but I can’t login. Which means that I’ll have to try exporting the missing tables and then import after migration, so I can login. That should do it, I hope. Keep you posted.

Ok, so I got it working by doing the steps I mentioned above. I think one of the issues may have been the size of the database, it was pretty big, and possibly that I was trying to migrate gravity forms tables which apparently are MyISAM as opposed to wordpress’ InnoDB? Dunno… Anyway, problem solved, for me at least. Hope the rest of you get sth out of this as well.

    Cheers,
    Axel
