I have a site that was hacked this morning and someone put in a password protect on the whole site, so I can’t log in to the backend or the front end. My host is working on it, but I do have a backup from May13 on the server I can access from FTP. What would be the best way to restore the site, since I can’t get to Updraft from within the Admin area?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,

I am sorry to hear about the security issue. In order to restore the site you would either need access to your existing site or you would need to create a new WordPress instance and install UpdraftPlus on it.

To restore on a new instance, upload the May-13 backup via the file upload link via UpdraftPlus >> Backup / Restore >> Existing backups >> Upload backup files shown here. Once uploaded, click the Restore button next to the uploaded backup set and follow the process.
