Hi Guys, I am in the process of renovating a not-for-profit organization website that has an active woo-commerce store. I am renovating a staging copy of the website in maintenance mode but I cannot find any articles on restoring the woo-commerce part of the live website (current and new sales orders) to the renovated staging website before pushing it live. Can you please tell me the best solution for this?

    Howdy @roes99,

I would go with a export / import routine via a plugin. Make a list of all required items, test export and import on staging of each item with a handful of entries. Then transfer the data over and close your live site for as long as you deploy to avoid new sales during the launch.

Thanks Con, your help is greatly appreciated. I’ll go with that suggestion.

    Howdy!

I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Hi Zach,
Should I be marking topics as resolved when I have the answer to my question? If so, how do I do that.

Also, in relation to this topic, I have another question, should I start a new thread as you have suggested, or can I ask here?

(Just in case I can) – I am happy to go with an import/export routine via a plugin, but what I really need to know is what files hold the woocommerce sales/orders/transactions data and where are the files located. I have a staging facility with Siteground that allows me to push live selections rather than the whole site. When I am finsihed developing the renovated website in staging, I want to push it live but not lose the current live site orders or the transactions since I started the staged build…
