    Hi

Our website https://www.firstoffice.in is hosted on godaddy. Sometime we saw the message for updating wordpress within godaddy and we tried that and it failed. Next we found that we were not able to login in to the admin. I was trying a couple of things I had seen here like resetting the plugins ( btw unable to rename the plugins but thats not a major issue for now )… and overwrote some files in the root directory ( mainly the wp-settings.php file ) since then my site is down….

I made a fresh install in a new domain https://www.gujaratamusement.com/gujamuse and tried copying the old wp-content folder and also changed the wp-config.php to point to my old mysql database by changing the DB name , password and location to point to the old DB — but try as I might I am simply unable to restore my site

So my question is how to restore my website with only the wp-content folder and the mySql database. I am hosted on godaddy and know a thing or two about FTP etc so fire away with your solutions. Any help is much appreciated

    bbsfeb3,

That is a very detailed description of the issue you’re having and it sounds like you’ve tried a lot of methods to resolve it. However, without being able to validate into your account via the information here in this public forum, I’m not able to check to see if there are issues with the setup. If you can, please reach out to our Support Team directly so that they can verify your information to access the account and troubleshoot the issue based on your hosting settings. They are available 24×7 via phone or email and their contact information can be found here: https://x.co/support

I hope this has been helpful.

    Sincerely,
