It seems with my current setup that a user with wordpresses administrator role can see anything in any group despite group restrictions.

i’ve read here and tried some things
    https://docs.itthinx.com/document/groups/access-control/
In groups > options > permission it wont let me untick ‘access groups’ if thats it?

I have a single page I would like to limit to a group and for admins to be hidden from also. I don’t want to downgrade the role of the administrators, is there a way?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    To clarify but not recommended:

    – If you want to hide the page from an administrator, you could use a group that the administrator’s account doesn’t belong to. You could then simply proceed as indicated on the documentation page https://docs.itthinx.com/document/groups/access-control/posts-and-pages/ but keep in mind that an unrestricted administrator can simply add himself to any group so this approach is limited.

    – Also there is the option for Administrator Access Override which, if activated, will make the above approach pointless – this option is described here https://docs.itthinx.com/document/groups/setup/options/

    What could work:

    – Let’s call this administrator who should not be able to see that page “limited administrator” and create a new group called “Limited Admin”. Assign the user account to that group.
    – Add all required WordPress permissions to the “Limited Admin” group so that the person can do all what is required but not manage Groups.
    – Protect the desired page with a suitable group (this should of course be distinct from the “Limited Admin” group)

    Cheers
