Restrict Access to Folders

Not in the current version. If you are referring to password protected downloads it is on our road-map. Can you be more specific for example if you are using something like WLM you can define a specific download to be viewed be a group of users – is this what you are asking ?

I am using “Members” plugin.. and I would like to have like a public download only section, then for logged in users be able to restrict who has access to what folders.. How the helps..

I am using WLM and I do see the value although I am not sure how many users have the same requirement. Will add this to our short list but note sure this will be something we will implement in the near future

An easier solution will be once we will have shotcodes is to show on a non restricted page under a certain category for internal users and under another category for other users. This is something which will be easier to achieve and more useful and can also solve your case

I have a similar requirement but slightly different. Yes, let say we have an accountant who needs to distribute to his/her clients – client only- documentations. In this scenario we have a set of documents which are for all clients and the other which is client specific.

Can either pro or standard version handle this scenario?

You can define in pro version which user role can download file (based on WP user role) Or you can set password for download and only users with password can download file
