• Hi,
I have a website with an intranet which only logged in users have access to. All the pages are locked to other visitors. But there is one big problem. Media files that are uploaded on those pages can be accessed by everyone. Is it possible to restrict access to certain media files and how do you do that?

  • You have to lock the media file itself. it’s the same way to lock a page or an article. this is due to uam logic that either an article, a page or a media file is locked to a defined role but no included stereotypes.
Anyway notice my issue https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/not-api-safe/ for your pages and sites!

    Hi Daniel,

I am having the same problem. I did as you suggested and restricted access within the media file itself to a specific user role type. However, the file is still visible and downloadable to anyone who has the URL.

Can you recommend a way to make sure that certain files are accessible only by registered users?

    Thanks,

    Max

I don’t know. When I’m doing it the same way it works fine… :-/
