Is there a way to change the Windows “File Upload” dialog box from displaying “All Files” so that only allowed file types are shown? While testing, I accidentally picked an HTML file of the same name as the image I wanted and I ended up with a nasty error screen apparently powered by WordFence (which I hadn’t installed yet, so that was really puzzling. I concluded my hosting company may have WordFence on their server, but anyway…)

It would be ideal if users could only see files that were actually allowed for uploading. Second choice would be that the User Submitted Posts plugin would give the error message and not try to submit the form until the file chosen was fixed, so they wouldn’t see any really bizarre message.

And thanks for a great plugin!

    Hey @greentreefrog,

Glad to help. It’s not a current feature but I like the idea and will take a look at what’s possible for the next plugin update. I think it’s just a matter of adding an accept attribute to the Files field. Will report back either way.

Also thank you for the great review ??

Just to follow up, this feature is added in the next version of USP. Should be available sometime this weekend. Thanks again, @greentreefrog.
