Restrict Categories

    I’d like to be able to restrict the categories that are available when a user posts a new advert.

    I have two categories which I would like only “admins” to be able to post to.

    Is there a way to do this?

    Hi, the best way to do this is to use the Restricted Categories extension https://wpadverts.com/extensions/restricted-categories/

    Ok tried that but the restricted categories are still visible in the dropdown. They cannot be selected but I think it would be better if they were not visible at all.

    Can you paste a link to your page with [adverts_add] shortcode? I should be able to send you a CSS code that will hide the restricted options.

    In the default Restricted Categories add-on i do not really want to do that as most of the time users are using the add-on to disallow posting in top-level categories but still want to display the category tree.
