Restrict character-amount for certain user-level?

  • Is there a way to set a maximum amount of characters per post for a certain user-level?
    I want to open up a blog where users, once registered, can immediately post and edit. To keep it in proportion I would like to set the max number of characters they can use per post.

    Possible?
