    Hi,

following a copyright claim we installed this plugin and activated the anti hotlinking option. Our folders are non browsable, however, whenever a direct link to a photo is entered in the address bar the photo still pops up.

Also if this link is searched on google the image still shows.

This is an absolute must for us since we have a large number of media files and we simply can not go through them all fast enough to avoid future claims.

Is there a way we can limit access to these photos, when one is currently on the site and thus watching an article ?

The photos still need to show on the url, but if accessed from outside of a post or page they should be unavailable.

any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

Are you talking about the following URL yoursite.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/imagename.jpg? If you are, unfortunately our plugin does not have a feature to block access to the media library on the backend.

Your best option probably is to make your site private. In other words, one must log in to navigate through your site.

There might be a plugin in WordPress repository that allows you to control the media library. I think there is a password protection code you can add to a folder in the server. Or there might be a PHP code you can add to the uploads directory which provides a condition, however that is beyond my capabilities.

Let me know if the above helps you.

    Thank you
