Restrict file access

  • Hi!

    Is there in the roadmap or planning how to restrict a file download?
    We have some MP3 files, we want that these files are only available for users who are logged in.

    Anyone know if I can use the UM plugin with another plugin to accomplish my question?

    Hi!

    I found a plugin “Download Monitor“, with this plugin you can upload a file in a post, and make it accessible for only logged in users.

    Does the UM plugin use logged in users of WP? Or has it his own user database?

    Maybe someone else has a better idea.

    Hi @pheijms,

    UM does use the WP login.However, it does not create tables. UM also uses WP standards.
