Restrict Number Of Categories a Listing/Job Can Use?

I need this one too, i need to each listing can use up to max 2 categories.

For form field alterations, you can use functions and filters inside of a functionality plugin:

Or you can use a third-party plugin such as WP Job Manager Field Editor:

… which has a nice GUI for editing fields.

In your particular situation, I’d suggest maybe just making two nearly-identical fields (both dropdowns) that read values from the same job category taxonomy. That way I can only select one category in the first, and one in the second, limiting me to two.

I ended up going for the WP Job Manager Field Editor. Did what I needed it to without the need for playing around with any coding – which suits me just fine!
