I have read most all your tutorials on this but am still somewhat confused. There is a document page where I want that page to have a public content and a restricted member content below. I set all pages to block, and show excerpts on posts and pages are checked. Then I added a “more” tag saying “To Residents: Please log in to have access to additional documents.” I could not find the WP-Member metabox on the page editor (I am using Gutenberg). When I log out, the document page only has the log in fields, no excerpt and no “more” statement to log in.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks much for your help.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I think I figured out what I was doing wrong. I didn’t have “show excerpts” checked on pages. Duh, Sharon!! So sorry to bother you!

That would have been my question – is “show excerpts” enabled in the settings (noting that posts and pages can be handled separately, as can additional custom post types). But… seems like you got that worked out.
