Restrict payment options for mixed (virtual-normal) orders

Hi all,
my question could be related to the topic https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/restrict-payment-options-based-on-product but the solution provided does not solve my problem.
My products are printed books, with some virtual/download variations (Pdf, ePub, ecc.)
I want to disable “COD” (Payment Gateway) for mixed orders (virtual/downloadable and normal products shipped at the same time).
Can you help?
