Restrict search to a category

Hi, I’ve been looking for a way to restrict a search to one category. I’ve got two different categories, namely “work” and “projects”. Work and projects page have each a search that uses the same taxonomies and the search results will display both work and projects posts. Is there a way to restrict this to a category, so that work will display only filtered work posts, and projects will display only filtered projects posts??
