    Hi there,

I elected to Restrict Access to Content and Sub Content of 2 Event Manager pages

    domain.com/events
    domain.com/locations

The domain.com/locations will automatically change to domain.com/events/locations every time after I hit enter so it’s automatically restricted due to the restriction set on domain.com/events.

However, both pages have sub pages whenever a new event or new location is created.

The urls of those pages will be something like

    domain.com/events/my-crazy-birthday-party
    domain.com/locations/hard-rock-cafe-seattle

And these sub pages are not restricted even though I already set Restrict Access to Content and Sub Content of their parent pages.

    Any solution to that, please?

    Thank you and happy holidays:)

    Hi @sarahjones123,

Is there an override on those pages so they don’t restrict? There should be a meta box on the edit page that will indicate that.

Also on the page list, what is the icon next to the page?

    Hi Matt,

    No there’s no override.

The only icon i can see on rows of these 2 pages on Admin / Pages / All pages are two locks under the Access column at the end of the row. I’m not sure if that’s what your’e referring to.

The sub-pages of these 2 pages are all created by frontend users and generated automatically so I’ll have no way of manually restricting them every time when one is created, which is the reason why I’m using Restrict Content by Role – to get them automatically restricted globally by restricting both Content and Sub Content of their parent pages.

But they are still not restricted in the end. I’m windering if there’s any way to make it work?

    Thank you.

    Hi @sarahjones,

It must be the way they are dynamically created. You could look at automatically adding the relevant meta to them when they are created to restrict them.

Have a dig through the plugin code and you will be able to see what this is.
