• I posed this question to PMPro, and they offered a solution which did not work (customizations plugin to override their default of redirecting registration to their “levels” page).

Here’s my original question to them, with additional info about my set-up following.

    UNEXPECTED BEHAVIOR
First, use of the Registration button is redirecting to the PMPro Access Restricted page. I have rechecked to ensure the Register page does not have membership requirements.

Second, TML custom redirection IS being used, but only on Log in to a separate home page. Similarly, TML themed profiles settings are being used, including Restrict Admin Access on all roles except for the two (Keymaster, Administrator) which apply to my admin log in.

This feels like a conflict in settings. Earlier today the Registration button was resulting in a complete failure to resolve into any page, with a time out error coming from the browser. I uninstalled and reinstalled TML.

    What I am using:
    Wordpress v 4.9.6
    TML v 6.4.12
    PMPro v 1.9.4.4
    – bbPress Add On v 1.5.5
    – BuddyPress Add On v 1.0
    – Check Levels Add On v .3
    – Donations v .4
    – MailChimp Add On v 2.1.1
    – Member Homepages Add On v .1
    – Pay by Check Add On v .7.8
    – Register Helper Add On v 1.3.7
    PMPro Roles v 1.0
    Boss. Child Theme v 2.3.1

    Additional information:
    I also am using BuddyPress v 3.0.0

In the BuddyPress Settings – Pages, I have set Register to link to https://www.concordcommunitiesalliance.org/register/ – the same location to which the Register button is linked. The only content on that page is the TML shortcode.

    UNEXPECTED BEHAVIOR
When I use the “view” button on the BuddyPress Settings – Pages Register entry, it directs me to a page I have designated as the custom redirect destination AFTER log in, which happens to be a page restricted to users with member roles. I would have expected that redirection to the Register page would have invoked the TML register process.

    Thoughts?

Problem “partially” solved: Though the PMPro BuddyPress Add On Settings, unlocking all BuddyPress to non-members allows registration to proceed.

This is not ideal, as I intended to allow registered non-members to only have access to standard WP features such as commenting. Full BuddyPress is meant for members.

This is clearly a PMPro settings issue, as far as I am concerned. If you agree, reply and mark resolved.

I really don’t know. I do know that all three plugins do their own things with registration/login/redirection, etc.

I am having the same issue with S2member and TML
