Restricted Document Upload section with subfolders?

  • I have a request to setup a document upload section on the website. Using wordpress user logins, they would like to have it restricted to only certain users. They would also like to have a folder hierarchy, such as:

    Directory
    – sub dir1
    – sub dir2
    – sub,sub dir1

    Are there any plugins that can do this? I was trying to do some searching, but I haven’t seen anything yet.

    Or, should I do this outside of WordPress?
