    Hi!

first off: great idea with this plugin!

but I somehow can’t get it to work the way, I’d like it too. Maybe that’s because it’s not meant to be used that why, so I’d thought I’d ask about it.

I have a custom post type called stories. These stories are linked by a custom taxonomy, genres. What I want to do is the following:

I have the Stories archive page listing the stories. But even though the Access Rules are set for “Single & Archive” – the forbidden stories show up in the list for users outside of the allowed group. (If I click them, they correctly lead to the redirect page.) Is there any way to actually hide the posts? I don’t want to tease. I simply want to hide them completely.

    ———
Which leads me to question #2:

can I redirect people to the 404 page (can’t choose that one in the dropdown)?

    sorry for troubling!

    gaseous.

    Thanks for the kind words.

Unfortunately the plugin does not currently support restricting single items in lists, but it is on the roadmap. If you can edit your theme, you can use the API to check if a user has a specific level and hide the items accordingly.

Can I ask more about your use case, eg. why do you want to redirect users to the Not Found page instead of a Login/Register page?

Thanks for answering…ok then I have to try to wrangle with the api…

Ours is a very small site of only a couple of users. There won’t be any others. And registering is neither allowed nor is it wanted. So whenever someone is not supposed to see a post or page or category, they are actually not wanted to see it or know of its existence. (Thus the question of actually hiding the posts in the archive lists.) I do not want them to register or login to see these posts. I simply want them not to see them ??

    cheers,

    gaseous.
